hairspray, tampon, nail clippers, tissues, extra garter, eyeliner, powder,lifesavers, perfume, nail file, and emergency quarters.
9. Pack your suitcase for the honeymoon.
10. Having a firehouse reception?- Wrap those eyesore BINGO boards with wedding themed wrapping paper
or coordinating wrapping paper. Problem solved!
DURING
Ideas in this section will include the wedding and reception itself!
1. Guests will remember your wedding reception- however exciting or boring. Keep this in mind
when hiring entertainment.
2. The reception only lasts a few hours the memories last a lifetime. Keep this in mind
when hiring a photographer.
3. The guests get hungry while waiting for you to arrive- arrange to FEED them something before
your arrival! They will be much more likely to hang around for the festivities.
4. Don't forget the rings!
5. Don't forget the garter to throw- put an extra at the reception location when you decorate!
6. Centerpieces can be made from very simple things. Like mirror tiles from a home improvement
store with a bud vase and some scattered wrapped candy and confetti or flower petals.
7. Table centerpieces should be child friendly- if children are invited- no fire.
8. Wear comfortable shoes.
9. You probably are not going to throw up- but be prepared if you do.
10. Flowers can make people allergic and some stain clothes- talk to your florist about these issues.
11. Don't throw "your" bouquet- get a throw away from the florist- you'll want your's later.
12. Bridesmaids will probably want to do their own makeup- check with them before the big day
about hair and makeup appointments.
13. If you have the dresses made- check references. Late and incomplete dresses have upset
many a bride.
14. If your wedding is outdoors- be easy on the perfume- bugs love it.
15. Again, outdoor weddings, make sure you have plenty of potties available. One portapotty
for 100 guests is not enough! Also, some portapotties have running water to wash your hands.
16. Have the caterer pack a basket/cooler to go with you out the door on your honeymoon.
17. Make your decorations very personal by putting beautifully framed pictures of you and your
fiance' as children, teens and young adults both dating and prior to dating! Ask your fiance's mom for the best pictures!
AFTER
Ideas in this section are for after the wedding!
1. Enjoy your honeymoon!
2. Be sure someone takes the tuxes back to the store and secures your gown for future preservation.
3.If you choose to... change your name social security, driver's license, credit card.
4. Add to insurance policies dissolve unecessary policies.
5. Don't expect major emotional changes after marriage. Basically, you've simply made
a public expression of your love. The relationship can only be as good as it's foundation. Many brides say, " but I
don't feel married!"
